I will teach someone something new this week - Because I said I would
I always like teaching something to someone that I enjoy doing. Whether it be a new recipe or yoga or how to tie a bow tie, I love to give my knowledge to other people.
I have been practicing yoga for the past 10 years. I am a huge advocate of getting people to try it for the first time and helping them through there experience. Who ever said "I'm not flexible enough for yoga" is wrong. Yoga isn't about flexibility, it isn't about tight stretchy pants, its about being in the moment. Listening to your body and having it work for you. Who cares if you can't do Birds of Paradise or pronounce Chaturanga Dandasana (

My Friend Amy and I have been helping each other through some tough times lately, and I asked if she would join me for a nice restorative yoga practice that was being taught at my gym. She glad-fully, but I am sure reluctantly, accepted my invitation. I tried to give her some tidbits before class, but I knew that the class wouldn't be one of those tough classes where you sweat from every orifice of your body. So we began our journey. One taught by an instructor who really wasn't as good as I thought she would be with newbies after I announced that it was Amy's first time.. Let's just say there were times where I wish I was leading the class but that's another promise :)
After an hour of class and many looks from Amy, we Namaste'd our way out of there and continued on our journey. Speaking to Amy after class I reassured her not all classes will be like that, and the majority will be better.
I arrived at work this morning to find an email from Amy telling me she was going to purchase a package to a yoga studio by her house.. I think my work is done here:) Another yogi for the books, and another week down!
Onward and upward here we come!
